During his university years, Tapas played for the university cricket team as a pace-bowling allrounder, showcasing his skills and versatility on the field. Heemel Dutta was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Heemel, a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, moved to Saskatchewan in 2012 as an international student. Currently, Regina is his home. Heemel previously played in the provincial T20 cricket league under Bengal Tigers. He is presently employed at Conexus Credit Union.
